Ancient Paths Masthead Text

Ancient Paths Intro Jeremiah 6:16

It is interesting that the Hebrew expression for “Ancient Paths,” netivot ‘olam can also mean “perpetual paths,” indicating a Way of faith and life that goes back to the time of Enoch, Noah, Abraham and Moses, but stretches far into the future. The Hebrew Prophets often speak of the restoration of a Way in the Wilderness, the repairing of a broken Wall, and the building of a Highway—apparently as metaphors for a return of God’s people to Biblical truth and life in preparation for the unfolding of the final Redemption of the world (see Isa 40:3; 58:12; 62:10; Psa 68:5). Our hope is that these materials will play some role in that noble Quest.
